New ice cream shop in Brielle - Surf Cone on 71

Surf Cone in Brielle is officially open for business! I took Ava there last night and she enjoyed some delicious chocolate yogurt, but they have many types of ice cream, Only 8, frozen yogurt and more. Highway 71 in Brielle. I highly recommend bringing the kids, or just yourself.

Belmar Seafood Festival today at the Shore

Fresh fish, anyone? This yearly event is something not to be missed and tons of fun for the whole family- check it out: Silver Lake Park, Fifth and Ocean Ave, Belmar. 11 AM to 7 PM; free admission and trolley to the festival from Belmar marina, downtown, and the Belmar train station. Enjoy!

What's important

Whenever I have a particularly stressful day, whether it's work, traffic, or just "one of those days", as soon as I look at my daughter it all seems so inconsequential. Every day she reminds me of what is truly important - how I want to live my life, how to be positive and most of all, to just enjoy myself and my family! Being a parent is an absolute joy.

A safety tip for traveling with your baby

I have taken my daughter to many different locations both locally and around the country visiting friends and family, and something to keep in mind when staying at an unfamiliar location with your baby is to please take a moment when you arrive and check for untacked rugs, unlocked cabinets, long window blind cords and loose power cords - these are some of the not-so-obvious hazards that could be overlooked during your stay. Coastal Baby Rentals typically keep items like outlet covers, cabinet locks and cord stoppers in our trucks just in case you need them when we deliver to you. Be safe and enjoy your travels!
